Letting Go to Grow: What Sacrifice Means for a Busy Mompreneur
As the new year begins, I find myself embracing a tradition that has brought focus and intention to my journey: choosing a Word of the Year. This year, my word is Sacrifice—a powerful and challenging choice. It’s not an easy word, and it’s definitely not one to take lightly. But as I reflect on my life as a mompreneur, I see how necessary it is to lean into this word and what it represents.

Lisa Harper and Christine Caine: A Night That Changed Everything
In December, I had an unforgettable experience meeting two incredible women I’ve admired in ministry for years—Lisa Harper and Christine Caine. They came to a local church in Roanoke, VA, about an hour from me, and I knew I couldn’t miss it. Not only did I attend the event, but I also got a ticket for the pre-program Q&A session. It was worth every mile, every minute, and every bit of excitement leading up to it!

7 Ways to Create Magical Holiday Memories with Family Painting Fun
If you're like me, you probably look around and marvel at how different the world is now compared to when we were kids. Remember when TV was our biggest distraction? Now it's all about computers, tablets, and cell phones. Our lives are so tech-driven! While technology is amazing, I’m always on the lookout for non-screen activities that my boys will love. That’s why I’m super excited about the new DIY art kits I've created!
This holiday season, let’s focus on creating special memories with our families. Here are some fun and creative ways to enjoy these art kits with your loved ones!

Consider This Your Creative Intervention
Do you ever scroll through your Facebook memories, stumble across posts from years back, and cringe a little? Maybe it was a time when everything felt heavy, and your posts reflected that—comments filled with frustration, negativity, and a real lack of joy. I went through this exact revelation recently, looking back at my posts from 2009 to 2011. All I could think was, “Oh my gosh, I was so negative. I was so miserable!”
Back then, I was carrying a lot—grief from losing a best friend, endless responsibilities, and the fairly new struggles of "adulting" that hit us all. But there’s one thing I can clearly see now, two thoughts that stand out the most: 1) Thank God for how far He’s brought me since then, and 2) Why the heck wasn’t I painting? Painting had always been my outlet, my therapy in high school. It was my way to escape and reconnect with myself, but somewhere along the line, I let it slip away.

Jesus Music, Memories, and a Little Magic: Our First Concert with CAIN!
Back in August, I got to experience something truly special with my son, Cam—we went to his first concert! We headed over to Osborne Baptist Church in Eden, NC, for an unforgettable night of music, thanks to K-LOVE Radio. The headliners were CAIN, one of my all-time favorite groups, and it was such an incredible experience! It was the perfect opportunity for some Mama-and-Cam time, and it’s a memory I’ll treasure forever.

Creative Space Evolution: Basement Corner to Dream art Studio
When I think back to how I started hosting paint parties, it's like remembering a wild ride from daydream to reality. It all began with a simple dream—having my own art studio where I could let loose and heal.
Back in early 2020, just before COVID-19 turned everything upside down, I was going through my second miscarriage. Painting had been my therapy during my first loss years ago. So this time, I knew I needed to jump right into it to keep me from spiraling into deep depression. It was my way of finding peace amidst the storm of emotions. Art has always been my thing, ever since high school days when I'd sit in class with my headphones on, painting away.

Brushstrokes of Hope: Navigating Loss Through Art and Faith
Does anyone else find it nerve-wracking to share deeply personal experiences, especially when they touch on faith and trauma? It's like opening up a vulnerable part of yourself to others. These things really hit home for me, and I genuinely hope that sharing my story brings you comfort, hope, and a little inspiration.
