Finding Purpose in the Battle: Stand Firm in Faith for Such a Time as This
Hey there friend! There’s an alarm sounding for the Church… and it’s time for us to wake up and suit up in the Armor of God.
I couldn’t sleep one night recently. My mind was racing, and I knew God was stirring something in my heart. I felt Him whisper, “It’s time to rise up. It’s time to speak out in love and truth.”
So even though this was way out of my comfort zone, I decided to step out in obedience, because this message isn’t just for me. It’s for all of us.
The Armor of God for Today
Ephesians 6:10–20 reminds us that our struggle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil. The battle we’re facing… in our homes, our communities, and our world… isn’t political or personal. It’s spiritual.
“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
— Ephesians 6:11
Now is the time to put on truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. To stand firm. To fight not with fists or fury, but with faith and compassion.
Leading Our Families in Faith
Our kids are watching how we respond to the world around us. And let’s be honest, most days, we’re winging it. We’re tired, overwhelmed, and trying our best.
But this is our moment to lead by example. Get down on your knees with them. Pray out loud. Show them what it looks like to trust God even when you don’t have all the answers. Teach them to open their Bibles before opening social media.
That’s how we raise warriors of faith in a world that’s forgotten who the real enemy is.
The Real Battle: Good vs. Evil
The world feels heavy right now… anger, division, confusion everywhere you turn. But this isn’t about politics or opinions anymore. It’s good versus evil.
And the truth is, the world doesn’t need more shouting. It needs compassion before conviction. When you lead with love, hearts open. When you attack with judgment, walls go up.
If you want an example, look up Bryce Crawford on YouTube. He goes into places most of us would avoid, and just loves people like Jesus did. That’s how revival starts: one act of real, compassionate faith at a time.
Finding Your Purpose in the Battle
Maybe you’re thinking, “I don’t even know what my purpose is.” But my friend, you were made for such a time as this. God placed you here… right now… for a reason.
He’s given you spiritual gifts, talents, and passions to shine His light. You don’t have to have it all figured out, you just have to start.
Here’s a glimpse of something I call The Recipe for Purpose, a simple reminder that purpose often grows in the middle of discomfort and obedience:
1 cup of joy
2 cups of spiritual gifts
A pinch of faith
An ounce of talent
3 mounds of discomfort
A giant heap of obedience
That’s where purpose begins… in the discomfort, in the small yeses, in the daily faith walk.
Suit Up and Step Out
It’s time for us to rise up. To be brave, compassionate, and bold in our faith. To speak truth with love and stand firm in the Word of God.
And if you’re ready to stay focused on the calling God’s placed in your heart, I’ve created something special for you.
